Innovation in Infrastructure: How technology is increasing resiliency and efficiency in district energy systems.

February 9, 2026 — In the latest Innovation in Infrastructure QPod podcast, CenTrio’s CEO, Eric T. Miller and Director-Platform Instrumentation & Controls, Rick Basdeo speak with QIC’s Nicholas Riva and explore how the CenTrio’s National Operations Center (NOC) is transforming the monitoring and management of district energy systems across the U.S. – improving response times, resilience and cyber security.

CenTrio’s new National Operations Center (NOC) at Union Station in Houston integrates seven district energy sites from across the U.S., centralizing monitoring and enabling rapid responses to any system modifications on a real-time basis. The NOC, recognized in the 2025 infrastructure innovation awards, provides alarm management, and process control, enhancing our high levels of reliability. It also optimizes staffing, offering 24/7 oversight and support efficient operations across geographically diverse sites. The company plans to expand the NOC to include additional operating systems, starting with LSU, continuing our emphasis on operational excellence and increasing the value we provide to our customers.
