HOUSTON, TEXAS — May 30, 2026 — CenTrio was proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Main Street Promenade Grand Opening, joining Mayor John Whitmire, Harris County and City officials, Downtown Houston+, business leaders, community stakeholders, and residents in celebrating an exciting new chapter for Downtown Houston.
The celebration began with a VIP reception with more than 170 attendees followed by a ceremonial ribbon-cutting marking the completion of the Main Street Promenade, a transformational public investment designed to enhance connectivity, walkability, and the overall downtown experience. The project reflects the continued momentum and investment shaping the future of Houston’s urban core.
During the event, CenTrio Chief Executive Officer Eric Miller highlighted the company’s longstanding commitment to the city and the role CenTrio plays in supporting Downtown Houston’s infrastructure.
“We’re proud to call Houston home and be such a foundational piece of the infrastructure of Downtown Houston,” said Miller.
Mayor John Whitmire described the occasion as “a great day to be a Houstonian” before the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following the event, he emphasized the long-term significance of the project, noting that investments like the Main Street Promenade are designed to serve Houstonians for generations while helping prepare the city to welcome visitors from around the world.
