SEATTLE, WASHINGTON Sept. 6, 2025 — Hundreds of Seattle residents, families, and visitors stopped by our booth to learn about the importance of district energy and the vital role CenTrio plays in keeping our city warm and running efficiently. We proudly deliver steam heat to more than 150 buildings, including Seattle’s three major hospitals — Virginia Mason, Swedish, and Harborview.
A highlight of the day was our partnership with the Northwest Railway Museum. Guests of all ages had the chance to blow the original steam whistle from the historic train that once ran along the Seattle waterfront, on loan to us for the day. Kids walked away delighted with their own wooden whistles, and adults were equally engaged, learning how steam-powered district energy continues to support Seattle today with greater efficiency and sustainability.
The event was a true celebration of education, history, and community connection and a wonderful opportunity for CenTrio to showcase our work while celebrating Seattle’s past and future. It was, truly, an all-around success.
